Not only that, even if a Region 1 or 0 player
could play PAL/SECAM DVD's, if it doesn't have a converter, you'll hear the sound and see a blank or distorted image on the screen. Something about the difference in the TV pixels, a built in converter would be needed to see the image properly. That, or buy a TV that's ( I think) "universal" or "multi-function".
