no, a quick reply box sits at the bottom of a thread and intead of hitting post reply and going to a new screen, you just type your reply into the box. it saves loading time (for the poor folks who use dial-up) and ,IMO, just easier than going to a whole seprate page to post a reply. i know the v-bulletin system offers it, its just a matter of whomever is in charge of changing the board options to want to do it.:)
