you need to figure it out. if your major is in the social sciences, you can fuck around. but once you get into anything dealing with physical/biological sciences, your breadth (GED) requirements can greatly differ. for example, being a criminal justice major, i can take any math i want to so long as its college level (anything above 100). but if i were bio, or physics, theyd probably want something in at least the 200s. yeh, math IS ged, but if im gona get the math credits anyway i may as well fit BOTH requirements.
So, if you getting into forensics, thats exactly where your headed - a bio or chem degree, most likely. So figure it out. doesnt necessarily mean that its set in stone, but if you pick that degree, the counselor can tell you what you need to take, and you're better off taking more upper level courses that will count than to take lower ones that may NOT.
