And I also agree with the "giving him the green light" part. That's what annoyed me so much about it...she's basically giving him an excuse to screw around on her. The only other thing I could think of...is that maybe she's cheating on him...so if she let's him do what he wants, she can continue to do what she wants....in which case...WHY BE MARRIED??? I don't understand the whole "open marriage" idea. If you want to sleep around or date multiple people...don't get married in the first place.

It is hard for some people. Because some people don't view sex and relationships in the same way you do. Some people have a harder time resisting when tempted. I agree with you, I don't sleep around, not only because I just don't get any pleasure from casual sex, but because sex can be outright dangerous. And condoms break.
I don't see the point in being married either in that situation, but if it works for them and she really is being honest with how she feels about it, then that is between them. I don't understand it, but then again I don't have to. It does always bug me though when people just seem to accept this kind of behavior as an inevitability. And adultery, in my opinion, is not excused by that "what they don't know won't hurt 'em" bullshit.
In case anyone couldn't tell this is a touchy subject for me....LOL
