The Church was supposed to Demons 3, but Lamberto Bava beat Argento to the punch with his own movie of that title. Bava had directed the first two, but Argento had produced and owned the rights. Italian copyright laws concerning fictional properties are so screwed up that you can get by with ripping almost anything off.
