I think Nick Stahl
or Brad Renfro
should play the joker. They both have the look, Stahl can do comic book villain (as seen in Sin City) and can be an evil prick (as seen in Bully), and Renfro's kinda got the look, and he was pretty good as a budding evil prick in Apt Pupil. Plus, neither one are that well known.
Crispen Glover would go too weird with it. Yeah, he's seriously crazy in real life, but I don't think he's the right kind of crazy for the Joker
