Pootie, my squirrelly fictitious mascot here at horror.com, perished today from lack of reader belief (also known as Mythological Support Dysfunction). He became increasingly transparent, and then vanished altogether. All photos of Pootie that were posted on the net have mysteriously disappeared!

Pootie may be replaced by another fictitious mascot, and he may not. Only time will tell.
