Wrong Turn was great for a newer horror flick. Compared to what we've been seeing get pumped out of the studios the past 5 years, Wrong Turn is starting to look more and more like a bright spot in the new millenium of horror to me.
In a time when we are getting countless remakes of both Japanese (Ring, Grudge, Dark Water) and American films (Amityville, TCM, DOTD) as well as waaaaay too many video game spinoffs (Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil, House of the Dead) and all-around crappy horror films (Boogeyman, Cursed), movies with
any degree of originality are looking better and better to me.
Off the top of my head, I can only think of a small handful of movies that are as good, or better, than it that have come out in the last 5 years...
