Satan’s Playground

Satan's Playground

This one is really good IMHO

It is from the creator of "horror" (I didn't really like that one).

Their work is more experimental and surreal, but this movie is a little less so than "horror".

This movie is a cross between TCM, Blair Witch, and Mothman

The villains are creepy and scary and although there is some typical cheese (like when the girl finally escapes and then volunteers to go back), it's worth it.

Worth a rent on DVD (although it hasn't been picked up yet)

------------------

“I want to completely transport the viewer to another dimension, a place out-of-time, a world of all-encompassing doom, a mist shrouded atmosphere that will seep into your unconscious.” - Dante Tomaselli

Iconoclastic surrealist (and IndieFest alumnus) Dante Tomaselli returns with this visually dazzling chiller inspired by classic genre films and shot entirely on location in the New Jersey Pine Barrens region. Satan’s Playground follows the nightmarish vacation of the Bruno family after their car breaks down, they get lost in the woods and discover the myth (and reality) of the New Jersey Devil. With Ellen Sandweiss (Evil Dead) and Edwin Neal (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre).
