I agree. These collections effing rule. It used to be, you hadda spend twenty bucks on a single movie (or even more, depending on how far back you are remembering), and now you can spend about that same amount and check out a whole series of films, generally with still galleries, commentaries, and so on. I think Universal does a great job of presenting their films. They look great on DVD.

Universal, Something Weird, Disney and Anchor Bay all put out great video.

Here's a neat tip: If it's summertime and you're feeling a little warm and sweaty, put on a "Creature from the Black Lagoon" film; all that water will cool you off and take your mind off the weather.
