i know there are those that simply make mistakes. Oprah Winfrey was raped by a cousin who was basically a confused kid. he took her out for ice cream later to try and make up for the mistake.
here is the point i am trying to make (i dont pretend my opinion is correct. i will continue to defend it though). I know "prevention" rarely happens. if the death penalty was a real preventive measure, people would not kill in states that have it. BUT, it does prevent some.
When it comes down to it, i truly think they should be given life sentances like most murderers. just make sure everyone in the prison knows who he is and what he did.
And if "prison justice" stops him from ever seeing his first parole hearing, so be it.
