Lifeforce.
A great underrated 1985 Sci-fi horror thriller from Tobe Hooper director of "Poltergeist" and Dan O'Bannon writer of "Return of the Living Dead", "Alien", " Heavy Metal" and " Total Recall" about astronauts that investigate Haley's Comet as they discover an ancient spaceship with hordes of dead bat-like aliens and three naked humanoids preserved in energy crystals, they are brought back to Earth to be studied. Soon the humanoids wake up, as they are actually space vampires that suck the energy out of humans turning them into dried fast moving growling zombies that begin to infect people in London, only a surviving astronaut with a professor and a friend must stop these vampires and zombies from taking the world's energy forces.
A unique and different approach on the vampire myth of how vampires from myths and legends were born by space aliens, it's also got nudity, violence, zombies, Patrick Stewart and great special effects.
It's kind of a combination of Dracula, The Thing ( 1982), Vampire Hunter D ( 1985 and Bloodlust), Aliens and Umberto Lenzi's Nightmare City, highly recommended.
But i have a couple of questions for those who seen it:
If the three humanoids are really vampires then how come they didn't have fangs or suck blood like traditional vampires?
Anyone thinks the idea of how vampires on Earth from legends came from aliens is the exact idea from the original Vampirella comics? afterall in that comic, Vampirella's original planet Drackulon is the place where the vampires of myths and legends on Earth originally came from including Dracula.
