gren, like, you know how the tail of a shrimp is in three sections, well the meat of the shrimp goes all the way into that middle section. when you peel shrimp, start at the head on the side with the legs and peel the shell off, when you get to the top and there are no legs just pull on the outside two flippers things, usually it will come right off. if the shrimps shell is all mooshy and peels away all easily, like you can rub the shell off, then the bugger was dead before they fished it's rotting carcus out of the ocean.
Oh yeah, and don't whine to me about getting poked by shrimp head until you've worked a season steaming royal reds.
