If a person is overweight, and they decide to eat ice-cream (or lard, for that matter)...That's THEIR business not yours...
I don't believe that ANYONE should treat people any differently based on their appearance, whether it's 'for their own good' or not...

I assumed we were talking obese here - not overweight...
overweight is the norm .. we all eat more than we need and get less excercise than we need ..except serious atheletes and heath nuts.
as we get older its harder to loose the pounds - our mentabalisms slow down, our families prevent good fitness regimines... i'm guilty of all of those things.
but obesity ...
there is no excuse.. its plain and simple greed ... with the exception of mentally handicapped people who dont have the facilities to know whats good or bad for them.
at that point i dont look at them differently for their appearance - rather what mindset they have that allows them to become that way ..
