i have to say that i'm not a big fan of odd names.
It seems (to me) to be a contrived way to lay some character on your kid before they develop any of their own ..
sort of like how people often name their pets to reflect their own interests.
My kid has a very average name - I'm hoping - assuming - that his personality will be strong enough on it's own.
Kids live with their names untill they are old enough to change it if need be.
unless they are rich hollywood brats all sharing the same fate, they are going to have a rough ride with their peers who by instinct seek out anything different about a kid and exploit it for their amusement.
I'd rather give my kid a fighting chance .. and if he wants to change it legally to 'moonglow' or 'wolfbane' when he's legally able - then hey - go for it..
