Here is a review I found...it sounds like a Jackass kinda show.
At just under one hour long, “Bumfights” is a myriad of hate, ego and pain: sequences filmed by the cast and crew on home video and shoved together with no significant structure. What the crew filmed is at times nasty and repulsive and, at others, morally wrong. The sequences, you see, have a bum/tramp theme. The crew pays a couple of bums to do things that a sane, ordinary and relatively well-off person wouldn’t do. Things like extracting your own teeth, setting your hair on fire and smashing the shit out of your fellow man. When it isn’t about the two main bums “bumming” around, then it’s an assortment of bored teenagers punching each other, being egged on by their mates and stomping on their heads. Imagine a lukewarm “Faces of Death,” or a die hard “Jackass” TV series. Imagine it being spiteful and rarely funny. Imagine a fusion of tired and bad ideas presented in a vulgar fashion.
