I can't believe you're acting as if it's a fucking shock that he did heroin. A lot of his jokes were drug jokes, it's well documented that he was a heavy drug user and had done shows fucked up, and his entire image is based on that of a stoner. It's not something he was hiding.
That said, I could give two shits. He was a brilliant comic, and had the right to make his own decisions. Fuck you for judging it.
Also, he did die of heart failure, and always had a heart condition. However, drugs could have very well been what lead to the eventual heart failure, we don't know yet.
