A vindaloo is a rather spicy indian curry, usually served upon beef or lamb, and quite often, potatoes....although you can make many variations.
A lot of people don't consider india to be an "asian" country although it clearly is, I see shanks is familiar with the proper definition of the word, and all it rightly encompasses.
