Urge, have you seen that movie (i guess itīs from the 70īs) where some kids are going through a cave and when they come out on the other side, they find that they have traveled back in time and are standing in the middle of a pre-historic world?
I saw it as a child and found it very good and entertaining. Could be somethin for your kid.;)
