the new trend I've noticed in thrillers and horror is children. Granted its been done in the past but now the kids are all pale and ghostly.
My biggest problem is that a movie might be worth watching for five minutes and after that its crap but Im not the type of person to just watch five minutes, I give everything a chance. Take ghost ship. When everyone on the boat is slaughterd its extremly entertaining. The facial expressions the sound effects and the little girl who survived the cord and watched all the grown people around her fall to the ground in two. That was wicked and even the idea behind the ghost ship was alright, the whole wicked sin and greed, but you can get that from the bible. Anyhow, that gives ghost ship a cool opening and neat plot but NONE of that saved that damned movie. Cabin Fever, however had the makings of being horrible, cliche teen horror. It wasn't though. It was thrilling and tit free, good gore and imaginative scenes. It was creepy in all the right places and made me cringe which is a bold statement. It wasn't just a bunch of boos, its held suspense.
I think I just left the deep end and forgot my point, this happens a lot.
