Oh, but i love those people....
true story. A couple of years ago, i had a nice silver VW Jetta with all the fun things in life (Sun roof, heated leather seats, electric everything, big beautiful v6, the works.)
I was on my way to visit my wife who was then my girlfreind. she lived 3 hours away. it was a really nasty april storm, freezing rain, some snow, just a complete bitch.
i was going about 35, when i saw something crossing the road. I tried to turn away to avoid it, but the car started sliding. i turned into the oncoming lane (no cars were coming. in fact, i hadnt seen a car in 15 minutes), but still managed to slide enough so that i couldnt get out of the way.
I plowed into a moose. I hit her front legs with the right side of my car.The oimpac t was enough to take the passenger-side upper right corner of the roof and make it touch the passenger's headrest.
the car was totalled, the moose was dead, and i was fucking terrified. Later, i was sitting ina cop car, watching them pick up what was left of my car and then cars started driving by. At least 10 in a 15 minute period stopped and asked if anyone had lcaimed the moose carcass yet (i let the cop give it to his brother in law. technically, the moose was mine)
Every last one of them waited until AFTER they found out they couldnt have the moose to ask if the driver had survived....
Fucking people, i tell ya. And they wonder why i am so cynical....
At any rate, that is how i see regular viewers of shows like Real-Tv. If you are watching "Wildest police chases" or :Sports disasters", you are usually watching people put themselves in harm's way on purpose, so i can understand enjoying watching them, but so many of these things are just people getting shit on.
And shows like Survivor and Fear factor... Well, i dont watch them, but i gfeel jack shit for the people on them. $50,000 is not worth eating a live animal or a giant penis.
