No dissenting voices?
Oh, go on then.
The constant parade of death and destruction reported by the media is becoming tedious - I switch off now. Like any huge loss of life, the issue should be addressed - and if you can afford to send a little help then that's great - but if a subject is so red hot in people's minds that any sign of fun-poking (indeed, anything less than a theatrical outpouring of "sympathy") is met with such anger...
This comedy song doesn't upset me at all - you only need to take a peek at the news to appreciate the efforts made to clear up the aftermath, and it is only permanently irate, liberal minds that cannot accept the natural human reactions of skit and parody after disasters like these. There's room for every kind of take on such world-changing events.
In Britain, tsunamis have replaced paedophiles as public enemy number one - simply buy the next issue of The Sun and get your daily fix of dead bodies and woe... then talk about how terrible it all is, again.
There's a new word for it: Tsunamsploitation.
