I also liked the atmosphere of 6, but the story was so bad I rank it as the worst Halloween movie (I ignore that Halloween 3 even exists). If I would have been writing H20, I would have ignored that 6 was made. They should have had the story as Laurie being in a mental hospital all those years and have her come back to see her daughter. They could easily explained the daughter was told she was dead because her mom was nuts. Then substitute the daughter for her new son in H2O and the film is that much better. Of course that was too easy so they scrapped 4/5 existence. I wasn't too happy about that fact. I loved 4/5. I do think it was necessary to at least ignore 6 in order to bring back the Laurie character.

I agree it isn't as good without Pleasance, but I actually am happy they are still doing them. I just wished they would wait for better scripts that tie-in the prior movies. I think I'm the only one that loves Resurrection. I even liked Busta. The scene with him cussing out Myers still cracks me up. I personally think they should have made an entire movie with Curtis in the hospital before she was killed. They could have made an AMAZING movie surrounding Myers finally killing her. Oh well, it doesn't surprise me when greedy produces screw up sequels with potential.

Another thing I think they could do is have the escaped nut pretend to be Myers and go back to Hadonfield. They could interplay the real Myers and the impostor pretty well if they get a good writer, but I bet the studio is too cheap to hire a good writer to write that movie.

I think I've rambled on enough and will stop now lol.
