sure they aren't scary, but they can still be entertaining. Halloween for instance is a great film, which could be classified as a slasher film. But i do agree with you that most just aren't scary...i just enjoy watching people get hacked to death..even if it is with a boring kitchen knife or a meat cleaver. and yeah it would be interesting to see some maniac go after a 5th grader with a cheese grater...hey that rhymed :)
