Well I went thru, #1 last night, and so far as the storie goes Dr Satan worked at an insane asylum experimenting on the patients. The local folk get tired of hearing the screams from the evil goings on so they take Dr Satan out and hang him, the tree referred to in the film. The Professor comes and saves him from death and then helps Dr Satan take revenge on the good towns people, it seems that he can command demons from Hell, that was what attacked the town folk. Now one other thing Dr Satan doesnt speak english in the comic book, I thought it to be either German or old Latin, I didnt have time to research it but I will tonite and will let you know. I really would like to know what it is that he is saying.
There is also a good story about Baby who gets picked up by some bible thumpers who are going to attempt to save her soul by sacrifice, of course brother Otis comes to the rescue.
