Rent-A-Cop Burns To Death On Christmas

New York - On Christmas night at the Ocean Village apartments in the Rockaways, teenagers were setting fire to the holiday decorations... Security guard, Raymond James, pulled a smoldering cart of garbage into an elevator on the fifth floor of the apartment building, at 146 Beach 59th Street in Arverne, to get it out of the hallway.

After the door shut, the cart burst into flames. By the time the elevator door opened in the lobby, belching clouds of black smoke, Mr. James, 32 years old and a father of four, had burned to death... Two 13-year-old cousins, whose full names were being withheld by officials, have been charged as juveniles with felony murder.
