Yay! I got a new computer for Christmas! Now I can play all those games Vod is always creaming about. I got Doom 3, and it runs smooth as silk on my new machine. I have to say, I love the game. Nothing to criticize about it just yet. Although, I have yet to experience anything truly horrifying in it.

I also got a copy of a board game called "Zombies!" Has anyone heard of this? You basically roll dice, lay out map pieces of the city, and try to move your character to the helipad to escape the zombie hoards (and there are many. It came with 100 plastic zombies). I have yet to play it, but it looks fun.

Also: I got a copy of the film "Gozu". I picked it up because it was directed by Takashi Miike (of "Audition" fame). I have to yet to watch it.

Another film I got (which I have yet to watch): "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter" This film looks like it will be hilarious, but my wife does not want me watching it without her. Here's the blurb from the back of the DVD case:

"The second coming is upon and Jesus has returned to Earth. But before he can get down to the serious business of judging the living and the dead, he has to contend with an army of vampires that can walk in the daylight.
Combining Kung-Fu action with Biblical prophecy and a liberal dose of humour, the film teams the Savior with Mexican wrestling hero El Santos against mythological horrors and science gone mad, and also manages to address contemporary sexual politics. And did we mention that it's a musical?
This sure ain't Sunday school."

I am looking forward to laughing my ass off at this film. Found it at Borders in the "Cult Classics" section.

Anyway, that's the rundown of horror-related Christmas gifts I have received.
