He was in the 90's series, but...yeah, he was never as psycho in the cartoon...
He made a pretty decent appearance in the (at the time) awesome spider-man game.
There's rumours about Venom potentially being in the 3rd film, but it could just be group hysteria/wistfull thinking on the part of the fans. Raimi says he'd dead against it....go figure.
That's why they should just use the next series of this show as Venoms next home...
