Question Why are the first ones the best?

I've wondered about this. Most movies with sequels always have one movie that's best. And normally it's the first one that was made. Why is this you think? I'm just bored and thought of something. This is what I came up with.

Normally the first is the best because you can't go wrong. Nothing can really be wrong (except bad graphics, acting or plot) in the first one because theres nothing you can compare it to. But in sequels you have to follow the main plot from the first one. Keep the character looking the same, nothing to different. Like “he couldn’t do that in the first one.” Know what I mean? Anything goes in the first one, nothing can be wrong.

That’s all IMO. Just wondering everyone else’s thoughts upon this subject.
