Seems to me that most studios arent willing, with the exception of Lions Gate, to go with a new and fresh idea. I think that they are afraid that they wont be able to fill their corporate pockets with a new and original film that might not go over so well.

So what do they do? Remake old classics that they know all horror fans will go and see, regardless of what is said here, and hopefully bring in some new ones who are not diehard fans like us but ones that will pay the 20 bucks to see the film anyway so they can see something that they may consider scary.

Lets face it its either this or we get another Freddy vs Jason vs Myers vs Pinhead vs John Doe vs Lechter vs my fucking sanity.

Thank the Gods for Lions Gate films. Plus I was thinking that if someone like Douglas Buck could catch a break I think he would make a tremendously good horror flick.
