I just watched it, and my God, you're totally right! In the beginning, Jimmy tells Timmy to 'put on the hat' (instead of the sunglasses in 'They Live'). The fight sequence includes a suplex, fighting on a car, ... The resemblance is striking! Jimmy even helps Timmy up and then knocks him down again, just like in the movie. Jimmy even repeats the 'put on the hat' part. Really, it's the same fight scene than in 'They Live' (but between cripples, of course).
