EVERYONE should have a chance to speak their minds and have their own opinions, even if their opinions may conflict with those of their parents and/or everyone else in the WORLD...
Some (too damned many) parents forget that kids are individual people with minds of their own, NOT our personal possessions...I'm gonna stop here or I will end up compiling a multipost rant
My kids have ALWAYS been permitted (actually ENCOURAGED) to be themselves, think for themselves, form their own opinions, AND speak their minds....Sure, it may cause conflicts sometimes when we disagree, BUT I'm not raising cloned sheep...I LOVE the way that my kids are...Sometimes they even tell me that I'M wrong about something, I consider it, disagree with it...lol...and then take pride in the fact that they won't EVER back down to ANYONE and they will never be swayed from their own personal beliefs...No brainwashing THESE little darlings;) :cool:
