This is just a continuation from the Superman thread regarding unknown actors in these new superhero movies.

Christian Bale is definately a weird choice for Batman. He doesn't look the part at all but he can act rings around just about any Hollywood bozo. He's made some great, weird, mostly indie films. Anyone see "Velvet Goldmine?" Crazy-ass movie loosely based on Iggy Pop and David Bowie. Good flick! Plus Bale's got genre cred....he was the "American Psycho" for cryin' out loud!
