I always loved ole Charlie Starkweather from Nebraska. He looked like James Dean and manipulated some young girl into helping him go on a killing spree in 1958.

Also Bob Berdella from my hometown of KC. Homosexual torture-rape-murderer. Discovered after a half-dead and all-naked victim broke loose and jumped out of a 2nd story window to find help.
