True, I don't understand it either. 28 Days Later was great, and so was The Blair Witch Project ... both of these I have defended time and again on this site. I think what they both have in common that turns off a lot of horror fans is the fact that neither one splash gore all over the screen on a consistent basis. exactamundo. I had to concede to some poeple about not liking the new Dawn of the Dead, they actually listed legitimate reasons they didnt like it, and didnt just say "it sucked". I dont agree with them (i liked it a lot).
One of the things that stuck to me with 28 days later was the use of digital film. the sequences in the rain are almost dreamlike because of the way the water falls. i think it adds quite a bit to the movie.
