First, that movie is treated like Friday the 13th part 8: like it never happened. I saw that movie. I have it on tape, I went to the theater and saw it, and it comes on Starz about ever other night now. I've seen it.
Michael Myers has always been based around the idea that he is a lunatic. The Thorn thing wasn't brought up until part 5, and never discussed until part 6. From what they have said, they talked about a child being selected to be sacrificed by didn't talk about him being possessed, and if so never meantioned what he was possessed by. A druid curse doesn't mean you live forever unless it states that you live forever. H20 and Resurrection (Homecoming) acted as if 3-6 never happened, so if that is the case, anything from part 6 can not be considered in an explination for Myers.
