liked hellraiser but i thought that there are much better horror movies out there....i just got through watching Candyman last night with Arioch and we both agreed that it is better than hellraiser.........(sorry arioch for bringing you into this..it might be a slaughter)

Ahh well, bring out the guns Mirth. I totally agree, like we were disscussing earlier today. Hellraiser just seems overdone to me. Like the whole point of the movie is to be extreme and gory. It doesnt scare me AT ALL, never has. The effects look kinda dated by todays standards and not good dated like Brain Dead or Evil dead where its comedic, hellraiser is supposed to be taken seriously so when it looks fake the movie suffers.
Its a classic i guess, and everyone on the board thinks pinhead is gods gift to Horror icons but he just doesnt do it for me. Niether do his other cenobites. Maybe im just takin it too seriously and its kinda supposed to be corny but i dont know. The ONLY part i like about hellraiser is UNCLE FRANK which is the best character. I think they should have made the series about him, i think i couldve gotten into that a little more.
Alright, me and mirth have made our cases, so let the flamming begin. I know we are definitely in the minority in not adoring the hellraiser series so lets get it on.
