English food gets a really bad rep in this country... most american think that English food is fish & chips, and a bunch of boiled grey/brown stuff.
There is a town nearby that has an English Pub (called the Coat of Arms) that is actually owned and run by an English family. The food and drinks are mostly english/european fare (they do carry american/mexican/canadian beers and nachos are on the menu), but 95% of it is english (as well as one of the bartenders). its a great place.
God help you if you are a regular and order a north american beer..... i ordered a Corona once (even though Bass was my regular, i was just in a "light" mood)... the waiter stood there and stared at me until i changed my choice ( i decided on a black and tan). he told me not to "go pussy on him"..... Good thing we were all freinds :)
