Several years ago, a cheif in a nearby town got pulle dover for dui, and he tried to say he was railroaded by the arresting officer because the cop "didnt like him".
They went the full 9 yards on the guy, charging him with dui, drunken disorderly, and a couple of other thtings.
I cant remember if the chrges stuck, but his career was over.
