And many, if not most, hate crimes are done claiming that they are doing gods will. Skin heads say that god says that blacks and jews are inferior and need to be segregated or done away with. Gay bashers say god hates queers.
Make sure you actually read a post before retaliating against it, and then call others ignorant.
I watched a show recently on polygamy, and there were men raping their daughters, claiming god said it was their right. now, i dont think this is ANY different from blaming games or movies, it is just an attempt to shift blame.

Thanks Vod. Couldn't have said it better myself. I certainly don't blame the Bible for violent crimes. Anyone who commits a crime has only him or her self to blame. My point, as Vod stated, is that people will take a crime as an opportunity to ban what they do not like (such a video games, music, movies, TV shows, etc.) rather than putting full responsibility on the individual who committed the crime ...
unless the person who committed the crime backs up his actions from Bible teachings. And it is only Bible teachings that get this treatment. When terrorists struck the WTC, people were condemning Islam ... not the terrorists ... because Islam is in competition with Christianity. If the terrorists were Christian, nobody would be attacking the religion. Only the terrorists. Kind of a strange set of standards going on there. I would never blame a religion, or an idea, or a book, for causing violence. Never. I say people who commit crimes should be held completely responsible.
