And that was pretty much what i was saying. Americans have a very high opinion of what we do around the world, and i think we deserve it most of the time.
But there is a big difference in perception from country to country, and "helping out" is often interpreted as "butting in". In a lot of cases, they want to be left to fight their own wars. BlackHawk Down shows an awful lot of how we help people and they dont even appreciate it. they would rather blow each other up their own way, not have americans flitting about doing it for them.
