Every day is another attempt to catch a door-to-door Jesus spokesman in my homemade snare.

Every day is the celebration of the freedom of independent thought.

Every day is a day free from worry of persecution (at least, in the afterlife) and false hopes for rewards.

Every day is a day I give credit to myself for my accomplishments (instead of God), and blame myself for the bad things I do (instead of Satan).

Every day is a new opportunity to wipe my butt with a page torn from the book of Ezekiel.

Every day is a time to lament how the religious right are holding us back from medical breakthroughs by refusing to allow stem-cell research which could help countless numbers of people.
