Problem with each of these movies imo is that, even though the separate parts (say beginning, middle, end) make sense and are enjoyable, the plot as a whole gives us too little to reflect on. To me a good horror movie is one I think back to on the next day.
Extremity has nothing to add to
Hostel, and
Wrong Turn has nothing to add to
The Hills have Eyes. What
Extremity does have though is style.
Side note: in
Wrong Turn we see a total of five people make seemingly dangerous falls and none of them get hurt by that. Impressive.
