I'm not surprised. To some extent they've always been in that area. I first it was a cartoon with cartoon kids swearing, and it went on from there. There's funny and then there's crossing lines, that's not always the same thing.

I remember this stupid show on TV 10-15 years ago, it was called something like 'funniest moments on TV", and the host just kept talking about it 'pushing the envelope', and it was just increasingly risque things on TV shows. Some were a little funny and some not at all. Sure wasn't the funniest moments on TV, that's for sure. Seemed more like indoctrination.

Family Guy was the show that I quickly had to stop watching, and before that American Dad... there was one were the alien character went all twisted serial killer, and I'm just like, even if this is done in a funny way, I don't want to laugh at this. Not my cup of tea. Not to mention being a little freaked out this is on broadcast TV.
Yeah I never liked American Dad or The Cleveland Show.

I mean for one thing they're all copycats of Family Guy which itself feels like a rip-off of The Simpsons.

And the jokes are starting to get unfunny and really offensive. Like for example I really hated it when Peter was talking to Chris about joining the army and said something along the lines of "And all the brown people you can rape". So Seth MacFarlane likes to make fun of the fact that our American soldiers got caught raping and torturing naked P.O.W.s in the Middle East? Why would anybody laugh at something like that?
