Do you know what they are hearing? There are episodes that deal with insanity but I can't think of any where if someone hears a message or signal from outer space or something where they instantly go insane. It's been some years since I saw the 5th season, unless it's in there but the general premise doesn't sound familiar to me where Twilight Zone is concerned. I've never seen all the original Outer Limits episodes, maybe half of them.
