German director Christian Alvart (Case 39) creates a psychological thriller with shocking twists and turns from the moment it hits the screen. Serial killer Gabriel Engel has brutally slaughtered at least a dozen boys and creates art with their blood. When the psychopath is captured, Berlin police is poised to close the string of murders. But in a nearby village, a simple rural cop, Michael Martens, is consumed with solving the homicide of a young local girl. In spite of the evidence, he is convinced that the crimes are connected. As Michael hopes to get a confession from Gabriel, his inquiries pull him into the twisted mind of the deranged killer.
