What bothered me the most was the tone.
The mix of serious horror/drama with "comedy" just didn't work imo.
Should've been a serious horror or else an over-the-top gorefest.
And the ending sucked.

You should watch more movies. It's really not that gory (it probably is compared to haunted house and ghost movies
).
And from what I've read it's not much compared to Hostel. Guess that's why so many people are disappointed. But I haven't seen Hostel so I can't compare.
