Could be Exorcist. It fits the model (everyone knows it [not just Horror fans] plus time), but I haven't seen many people with the film (video/DVD) for some reason. I don't know if it's a film a lot of people wanted to buy and rewatch...

Same here. I have a copy of it within a DVD boxset of 20 other films. But how many people bought it by itself? I doubt anywhere near the numbers of some of the other films I listed (like Jaws).

LOL! Ya, HDC had a debate on whether this is Horror or not back when we did the Best Horror Films of all-time, decade by decade...
It's like Young Frankenstein... It's primarily a comedy, but it's Horror themed. So, take your pick. Ghostbusters and Young Frankenstein are one of those multi-themed films Comedy and Horror. So I lump it in.
