That dress code doesn't seem too unreasonable to me.
When I was in middle school (6th-8th grade), Every day I was stuck wearing a white collared shirt and (get this) a pair of brown courderoys! Not only that, but our teacher would check our hair length once a week (It could not touch the collar of my shirt.) and if it was too long, they would send you to the pricipal's office for an impromptu cut. The girls had to have their brown and white plaid skirts below their knees at all times or they would get detention. It wasn't fun, but we survived. On the bright side (for you at least) is that it seems like you get a little bit more selection. We got brown and white every single day. |
Man, our school's Code of Conduct book is great. I can, and will, get away with all kinds of stuff. It bans:
Camoflage "Suggestive" sayings any symbols pertaining to gangs or secret organizations any clothing that is gang/cult related shoes w/ dark, heavy soles and a bunch of other stuff. So far I can get by on the cammo on the grounds that they would still be able to see me, thus it wouldn't be camoflage. Also, they ban suggestive sayings, but not BLATANT sayings. I'm gonna get a shirt for a movie with a cult following, thus technically breaking one of their rules. I love/hate having a school run by idiots |

Our school dress code is pretty reasonable ... except they force the boys to tuck their shirts in. Every type of shirt. It's to prevent the kids from smuggling weapons into the school, although I don't see how that prevents them from wearing carpenter pants and packing their pockets with an arsenal of weaponry.
At least you don't have to wear a uniform! And bwind22 .... you lucky ass. Catholic school girls look sexy in those clothes. |
shit man, that dress code is thorough, and bullshit through and through. people basically wore whatever they wanted when i was in highschool. the only times kids had to turn their shirts inside out was when they displayed the word "fuck" as in "fuck god", and drug shit. i didn't think twice about wearing my old ripped-up jeans with my ass exposed, army insignia on my jacket, kids had mohawks a foot and a half tall, spikes, chains, corpse paint, people in bare feet, skirts that left nothing to the imagination, eskimo coats worn in class, you name it. i would've left that shithole if they'd taken away our freedom to wear our own clothes.
