joined columbia house last week. i got my 7 DVD introductory package today. it consisted of...
*halloween (own it on vhs but had to have dvd)
*childs play (ditto)
*bride of chucky (seen it, love it)
*dawn of the dead original (ditto)
*beyond re-animator (haven't seen it yet, big fan of the original, haven't sen 'bride,' i actually have another thread about this in the forum)
* the thing (haven't seen it, don't shoot me)
* prince of darkness (ditto)
i took tomorrow off for a full day of the chronic and horror movies. can't wait.

how is the columbia house shit? i've heard its good but i don't wanna get slapped with that bullshit that you have to pay full price and everything at the end

it's a great deal IMO. your first 7 are under 30 clams, then you just have to buy 4 over the next three years at 20 apiece (plus shipping). then you can quit. all in all you end up getting 11 dvds of your choice for just over ten bucks apiece.

Those things are so tempting, I did the math for one of those things, it was for CDs an I got like 15 cds for about 80$. Its not that much but I didn't feel like spending 80$

yeah, especially when their selection fucking sucks! one inevitably ends up with shit they wouldn't necessarily have bought otherwise. you're better off finding something really killer and cheap at a pawn shop or used music store.
